1Module 1 · 8 hoursLEED Project Strategy, Team and Appointments
Establish and govern a LEED project from the start. This module covers the certification pathway, early sustainability decisions, consultant and specialist appointments, commissioning responsibilities, and the first programme and cost plan.

LEED fundamentals and certification framework
Rating systems, certification levels, prerequisites, credits, scorecards, and the roles of USGBC and GBCI.
LEED project lifecycle
Registration, design and construction evidence, review stages, and the distinction between aiming for and achieving certification.
Integrative Process and early strategy
How feasibility, sustainability goals, cost, programme and design choices should be considered before decisions become difficult to change.
Selecting the sustainability consultant
How to compare capability, proposed services, deliverables and suitability for the project.
Reading consultancy proposals
How to spot exclusions, assumptions, vague wording, duplicate duties and potential scope gaps.
Design team and specialist appointments

2Module 2 · 8 hoursManaging LEED Through Design, Procurement and Construction
Keep the LEED strategy intact through design, tendering, procurement and site delivery. The focus is on clear contract duties, contractor capability, material approvals, evidence, cost and risk controls.

Coordinate the final stages of a LEED project, from commissioning and handover records through GBCI review and formal certification. Learn which responsibilities remain open after practical completion or occupation.

Niraj Boodhoo is a registered Professional Engineer with more than 22 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, energy, and sustainability engineering. He has led and supported LEED projects across Mauritius and the region and combines the latest LEED v5 framework with practical lessons from real certification work.

Can I take only one module?
Yes. Choose Module 1, 2 or 3 on its own, or select any combination of modules when you register your interest. Each module is an independent 8-hour course.
Which module should I choose?
Choose Module 1 for LEED strategy, consultant selection and team appointments; Module 2 for design, tendering, procurement and construction management; or Module 3 for commissioning, certification reviews and project close-out.
How much does each module cost?
The fee is MUR 12,000 per person for each module. Two modules cost MUR 24,000 per person; all three cost MUR 36,000 per person.
How long is each module, and how is it delivered?
Each module is 8 hours of face-to-face training at our Phoenix premises. The sessions use presentations, technical discussions, project scenarios, case studies and LEED examples. There is no practical training component.
Who is this course for?
The modules are designed for project managers and directors, client representatives, architects and lead consultants with management duties, engineering and design managers, quantity surveyors, construction managers, contract administrators, facilities representatives and people responsible for tenders or consultant appointments.
What are the entry requirements?
You need at least a Diploma in Engineering or a related field. The same minimum requirement applies to all three modules.
When will the programme begin?
No cohort date has been announced. Dates will be confirmed after programme approval; register your interest to have the team contact you when enrolment opens.
Do I pay when I register my interest?
No. Select your modules and submit the interest form now. The website does not collect payment for this programme while its launch date and approval are pending; the team will contact you with the next steps.
What materials will I receive?
Each module provides online presentation materials, participant guidance notes, selected LEED reference materials, case studies and classroom exercises.
How is understanding assessed?
The module syllabuses do not specify a separate exam or pass mark. During the sessions, the trainer may check understanding through scenario questions, document reviews, group discussions and short knowledge checks.
Will I receive a certificate?
Each module lists a Certificate of Completion as its award. You can complete one module without registering for all three.
