This face-to-face programme provides a comprehensive introduction to green building concepts, the LEED v5 rating system, and the certification process defined by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). It is designed for professionals, practitioners, students, and anyone interested in sustainable construction. No previous knowledge of LEED is required. Through trainer-led presentations, interactive discussions, local and regional examples, knowledge checks, revision, and guided practice questions, participants develop the knowledge needed to understand LEED v5 and prepare for the Green Associate examination.

Who should attend this course?

What are the entry requirements?
Applicants should hold a Higher School Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority. Relevant built-environment experience is desirable but not mandatory, and applications may be reviewed case by case.
Do I need previous LEED experience?
No. The programme is designed for participants with no previous exposure to LEED, green building, or sustainability certification.
How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered face-to-face at Prodesign Learning Centre through eight two-hour sessions during November, for 16 hours of training in total. Delivery includes presentations, interactive discussions, practical examples, question-and-answer periods, and knowledge checks.
How does the course support exam preparation?
Dedicated revision sessions, examination techniques, guided practice questions, and a collective review help participants prepare for the LEED Green Associate v5 examination.
Is the LEED Green Associate exam included in the course fee?
No. The exam is not included in the course fee. Participants must register for the exam separately with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The exam fee is USD 250.

What are the course and practice test fees?
The LEED Green Associate v5 course fee is MUR 30,000 and includes Practice Test 1. Practice Tests 2–5 cost MUR 5,000 together, and every practice test contains 100 questions.
