Course Overview

This face-to-face programme provides a comprehensive introduction to green building concepts, the LEED v5 rating system, and the certification process defined by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). It is designed for professionals, practitioners, students, and anyone interested in sustainable construction. No previous knowledge of LEED is required. Through trainer-led presentations, interactive discussions, local and regional examples, knowledge checks, revision, and guided practice questions, participants develop the knowledge needed to understand LEED v5 and prepare for the Green Associate examination.

Who should attend this course?

The programme is suitable for architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, project and facility managers, sustainability consultants, property developers, government officers, final-year and postgraduate students, and anyone interested in sustainable construction.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants should hold a Higher School Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority. Relevant built-environment experience is desirable but not mandatory, and applications may be reviewed case by case.

Do I need previous LEED experience?

No. The programme is designed for participants with no previous exposure to LEED, green building, or sustainability certification.
